In my opinion a forum that has Say Hello! should maybe also have a way to check out and a kind of do a closure, especially if one finds it hard or not useful to participate. It might be done in a way to stay (and say) in good faith with others.
Though very few things on Wikimedia have good closures - consider to make your own be nice and useful for both yourself and hopefully others.
