Correction: Updated data of registered users in the forum
Context: Since the beginning of the MS Forum we have been reporting data on the total number of registered users with new signups every month. There is no place in the system where we can new signups so this is calculated by taking the totals of two months and counting the difference Recently, I noticed that the number of registered users is not actually a cumulative total - ie. an addition of the previous month’s total users and new signups of the month, as we thought it was. Instead, I noticed that some users sign out from the forum during the month and when they sign back in the system then reports them as a new signup therefore the total registered users is less than what was reported.
