General terms
The Wikimedia Foundation does not host the infrastructure for the Wikimedia Foundation’s Movement Strategy Forum (“Forum”). As a result, we would like to provide the following clarifications for our terms.
Please review the Wikimedia Terms of Use. This policy applies to the Forum and other hosted Wikimedia projects. This is our Privacy Policy for non-Wikimedia projects. This policy applies to your use of the Forum to the limited extent we have control over the Forum since we do not directly host it or the Discourse platform. If there are any inconsistencies between those policies and this page, the terms on this page will apply.
Community Guidelines
By using the Forum, you agree to adhere to the Forum-specific guidelines as well as the Foundation’s Universal Code of Conduct.
Creative Commons Licensing
Content on the Forum is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 (CC-BY-SA) unless otherwise noted.
Discourse allows for private messages. All content in private messages is excluded from the Creative Commons licensing requirement.
One novel feature of Discourse is its ability to translate posts. If you share or adapt a machine translation from the Forum, then as a derivative work, you should note that it is a translation in your attribution under the license.
Disclaimers
Discourse may undergo future development which may include changes to its privacy policy and services. We provide access to our Forum on an “as is” and “as available” basis, and we expressly disclaim all warranties of all kinds, including implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.
We cannot guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of any of the information on the Forum.
Updates
Things naturally change over time. To ensure this policy accurately reflects our practices and the law, we reserve the right to modify it.
We will provide notice of updates to this page. If we make significant edits to this supplemental policy, we will create a post on the Forum announcing that changes have been made. If a change notice is posted on the Forum, you are responsible for reviewing the most recent version of this policy. You accept the new version if you use the Forum after we announce an update.
