The goal of the MS Forum is:

to improve community collaboration around Movement Strategy (MS) on a multilingual platform that is welcoming and easy to use.

The participation and support received during the community review support the premise. Close to 300 people participated in the community review; many participants were from Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Many are contributors from medium-size and small Wikimedia projects.

Accordingly, the MSG team commits to the long-term maintenance of the MS Forum and its integration into the Movement Strategy processes. The MSG team will announce a call for new moderators and administrators . The approach will ensure long-term and volunteer-driven governance of the MS Forum. Outreach efforts to increase the awareness and participation of the MS Forum are starting soon

May 1, 2024: no replies at all, almost no site visits at all in last seven days

May 1, 2024: no replies at all, by anyone, other than myself. only exception was an update that may be automated. just noting that. also: May 1, 2024: almost no site visits at all in last seven days; seven people apparently did visit, although only three had more than one site visit. i don’t mind if wmf staffers cannot visit too often; i don’t think it’s helpful to the community, or fair to the movement strategy overall, if they never visit this site.

Thanks for the ping! I was helping to launch the MS Forum as project manager, but that ended after a few months of its creation. For the past year, the MS Forum has been transitioned to another project team. (Hence my inactivity – I’ve been focusing on my other projects.)

Hi @Sm8900, thanks for your interest in the forum activity. I was out of the office, hence the delay in the response.

The forum is still maintained as planned. It was designed to be a space for volunteers to connect and share about Movement Strategy.

Looking at the monthly activity reports of the forum, we are seeing a decline in the number of contributions from volunteers and are monitoring this.

I know you are very passionate about the Forum and its use. If you are up for it, I’d really value an in-depth conversation about the forum. Would any of these times work for you to meet up?

thats terrific. however it seems to be telling me that no dates are available. maybe some glitch is occuring? feel free to let me know what steps I should do.

by the way, i used to have telegram, but now i don’t have it installed currently. you should try google voice for sms. it is highly useful, and in my opinion everyone here should use it as one good optional method.
