Hi everyone,

I am back from holiday :sunny:and Wikimania :star_struck: and here is your update on what has happened in the last 5 weeks! A lot! Take it easy and maybe read a section a day :laughing:. There is lots of amazing things so enjoy your week catching up on it all! As of next week, we are back to a normal rhythm.

Now to something different, I learned about the Beehler Umbrella Factory :closed_umbrella::open_umbrella: this week which was the first umbrella factory in the US. Find out more about the massive explosion that happened there in the early 20th century :boom:.

This brings me to the Place Royale in Quebec City where I traveled to in my favorite article of the week. The square was established in the early 17th century and even featured in a Steven Spielberg film! :film_strip:

This week I learned more about Galli, the eunuch priest of the Phrygian goddess Cybele, originally from Mesopotamia; the cult of Cybele traveled via Greece to Rome’s state religion.

This week I learned a lot about the Funeral of Mary, Queen of Scots :candle:. After her execution she was first buried at Peterborough Cathedral before being moved to Westminster Cathedral after the union of the crowns. :church:

My new article of the week took me down the strange route of animal baptisms :tiger2::elephant::ocean:. Not surprisingly, they mainly take place in zoos and circuses and are often performed by famous people. Check out the photo of Juri Gagarin performing a baptism :astronaut:.
